Default Early levels representative for graphics?

I am playing on a trial version to test whether my rather poor graphics card can handle the game (I'm playing on a MacBook via bootcamp - 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with Intel x3100 integrated graphics card, 2 GB RAM). Through about an hour of play in the newbie areas, fighting low level baddies, the FPS has been perfectly acceptable with the graphics set low (in my occasional checks, I usually saw FPS in the 10s and 20s in Ascalon and in the 30s and 40s in Lakeside County). So my question - is this what I can expect at higher levels as well, at least in PVE? Or is the workload on my graphics card going to go up later in the game?

I'd like to go ahead and buy the full version to get rid of the annoying trial restrictions, but I want to make sure what I'm seeing is what I'm going to get first. Thanks!

Eh,

In towns your FPS drops significantly because of all the people. I use a Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop (yes I know, don't remind me ) and my FPS drops to around 17 in the main trading hub, Kamadan.

In PvP matches and most PvE, my FPS is a steady 30. My graphics card is terrible and it handles the game fine, so you should be ok.

for prophecies, there won't be a big jump in graphics requirement.

however, the requirements are higher for nightfall and especially eye of the north. your integrated graphics is known to crash in certain parts of NF and EotN.

Thanks - I'll stick with Prophecies and Factions for the time being, then.

i personally have a radeon x1100 and it can handle medium-high with 1024x768 with pretty fare FPS, however when im pvping and using vent it drops down significantly even with all settings turned down lowest and at 800x600.

if you have slow fps in towns try sticking to the International Districts.... there are far fewer people there and it may be a "smoother" exp. for you. You should be able to play all the way through Proph. with that set up though.
